Current Special Greets on Offer
As Brisbane is currently celebrating the 25th Anniversary of World Expo ’88, Brisbane Greeters have developed two captivating World Expo Legacy Greets. Both involve a beautiful ‘journey’ around our amazing city – you’ll discover Expo gems, heritage sites and some of our newest treasures!
The Greets are offered daily, at 10am and 1pm, beginning at the South Bank Visitor Centre before finishing up at the Museum of Brisbane’s World Expo Exhibition.
Enjoy the nostalgia, get connected to Brisbane, and see the beauty of Australia’s New World City. For more information, download the flyer.
To book a World Expo ’88 Greet, contact the South Bank Visitor Centre by phoning (07) 3867 2051 or emailing visitorcentre@south-bank.net.au.
These Greets begin outside the South Bank Visitor Centre.
Welcome to Brisbane
You’ve come to the right place.
This is where we introduce you to some of our most passionate and in-the-know locals (or Greeters as we like to call them). We offer insights into an exciting array of sightseeing options around Brisbane so that you’ll never be out of things to do while you are here.
By teaming up with one of our friendly and knowledgeable Greeters you will discover a Brisbane you never knew existed.
The Brisbane Greeters Program has been designed to give you, our visitors, a first-hand look at what makes our city’s heart beat.
Get to know your Greeter and enjoy their inside knowledge on arts & culture, wining & dining, heritage & architecture, sites & attractions. They will take you behind the scenes and show you the best our city has to offer- basically whatever you’re in the mood for…
Our Brisbane greets are FREE and open to anyone - whether you’re travelling alone, with family, friends, partners or kids. The walks can range from two to four hours and cater for a maximum of 6 people per greet.
We’re proud to invite visitors to take an exciting detour from the average tourist path and join us in celebrating what makes Brisbane uniquely Brisbane.
